DTM finale in Hockenheim - information and comments

This weekend (18th-19th Oct, 2014) brings the DTM's 30th anniversary season to a close with the home race of Mercedes-Benz in Hockenheim. The track: The DTM season opener and the season finale are traditionally staged at Hockenheim. The race covers 42 laps of the 4.574 km track which equates to a distance of 192.108 km. The passage from the Parabolica to the hairpin, taken at around 270 km/h, is the fastest section of track on the DTM calendar - 64% of a Hockenheim lap is spent on full throttle..
